An elegant country house poised on the edge of a rural North Somerset village, in a secluded location at the end of a sweeping drive, offers a truly serene yet extremely accessible location in which to welcome in the fall season.

As the tree gracefully sheds its' once bright leaves creating a soft carpet of melded browns, brushed auburns and golden cinnamon hues, we will gather to share retreat themed vinyasa and yin yoga, yoga nidra, meditation, vegan/vegetarian food and a leaf lustrating walk in the private woodland.

Thoughtful and considerate attention will ensure that everyone who attends, regardless of age or experience, can fully enjoy each class.  All classes take place in a warmly inviting space, where the dwindling light of the season cascades through from every angle touching our shared practice with gentle surrender.  As well as the nourishment of yoga, this fully catered retreat will provide delicious vegan/vegetarian catering, lovingly created by a talented, passionate and experienced chef.

The venue has 9 vast double bedrooms and 5 superb bathrooms each with shower and roll-top bath. There is a charming morning room which catches the morning and afternoon light and offers breath taking views of the surrounding countryside.  Here we will gather together to eat, drink, chat and relax, with a roaring log fire if the weather is cool.   The accommodation offers everything required to make this the perfect setting in which to retreat and share yoga, relaxation, laughter, connection and self-nourishment.  And with that in mind you are invited to do as much or as little as you want to - on Your Autumn retreat.

October is a truly inspiring time to venture outside and enjoy the sublime earthy colours of nature's pallet.  There are landscaped private grounds encircling the house, including an architecturally bordered pond, romantic arbours and secluded groves all of which are connected via meandering paths which flow whimsically through the estate.  Here you can roam free, discover and enjoy.  We will explore the woodlands on a group walk, perfect if you harbour yearnings to recreate those childhood memories of leaf kicking joy.

A few guest reflections following the Spring Equinox Retreat in March and the Autumn Retreat in October 2022.

"I loved Emma's style of teaching and have never been to another class quite like hers.  I leave her classes feeling utterly at peace and I think it's because she creates an environment you can relax deeply into and achieve a moving meditation.

"I feel so revitalised by the weekend.  Such a fun and wonderful group.  Thank you to everyone."

What a perfect weekend, I loved every minute. The yoga was both physically challenging and relaxing in equal measure. The company was glorious, lots of laughs and support throughout.  Can't wait for the next one.

"Thank you to Emma for a lovely weekend.  The practices were high level as always.  Vegan food from Alice was very very good, she needs and extra thank you! Really enjoyed the forest bathing, lovely seeing how peaceful everyone became.  Emma's chanting in the hall had great resonance - all in all a great weekend."

"Emma exceeded my expectations for the Yoga Retreat. The venue was stunning and the atmosphere relaxed and friendly. The yoga was super nourishing as was the spectacular full moon meditation. I have experienced many Yoga Avenue events and always come away wanting more."
