Like many little girls I was, from a young age, obsessed with ballet and gymnastics - forever upside down or pirouetting somewhere inappropriate!  I followed my interest in dance through college but soon afterwards lost touch with the physical release and enjoyment dance and expressive movement offered to me. It wasn't until about 2011 that I really discovered yoga and it was like finding something I hadn't realised I'd lost!

I spent the next few years exploring various types of classes, attending workshops and retreats and developing an openness towards experiencing the world of yoga. In September 2016 I met Heidi Pascual (Lotus Love Yoga) at a retreat in Sardinia (www.sardiniayoga.com).  Something changed the day I met Heidi; I finally found the courage and belief to express a desire I'd harboured for a while.

With Heidi's encouragement, (along with many many other wonderful teachers I have been fortunate to be guided by), I completed my Yoga Alliance 200 hour Level 1 Teacher Training with Bristol City Yoga; graduating in 2017.

I now have well over 600 hours of training behind me, having graduated as an Advanced  300 hour Vinyasa Flow Teacher with the internationally acclaimed Claire Missingham in London in February 2019.  Fuelled by Claire's incredible knowledge and authentic teaching, this training encapsulated the true essence of yoga by honouring its' ancient lineage and philosophical roots; encouraging the development of leadership skills to help others find their own dharma and awakening to all the wonderful textures yoga offers for living a vibrant, happy and fulfilling life.

I am a constant student and continue to develop my skills with additional trainings, expanding my knowledge and passion for yoga; especially the philosophy and history that underpins both practice and life.  These esoteric teachings and insights offered by the ancient yogic texts inspire class themes and are woven throughout classes in a way that aims to reflect their enduring relevance to contemporary life.

As my own knowledge and self practice grows, I feel more and more my teaching offers passion, integrity and authenticity as well as kindness and a good dose of humour.    In essence, as a teacher my aim is simple; to attempt to share what yoga has gifted to me and to see others enjoy the many layers of transformation and contentment that can be enjoyed.

I am fully insured through Yoga Alliance, have an Enhanced Disclosure and First Aid training certification.
