About The Event
Out of all the trees, divine awareness is more present in the Ashvattha, says the ancient yogic teachings of the Bhagavad Gita. The 'eternal tree of life' has it's roots in heaven and it's branches here on Earth.
This 2 hour yoga practice will explore the myth of the Asthvatta tree through the ancient story of the horse sacrifice. The tree of life is a metaphor for the spine, the danda or staff which rises from the roots of the Earth to the heavenly realms beyond. Our yoga practice we flow through creative namaskars sequencing asana to flex, extend and twist the trunk as we feed the branches and nourish the roots through movement, breath and meditation.
This event is suitable for all ages from 18+ and all levels. Modifications and advancements in asana will be offered throughout. You will however need to be of reasonable fitness and sure footed…
