Tree of Life - Yoga Day Retreat - Sunday 26th September
Time & Location
About The Event
Following the success of our Summer Solstice Woodland Yoga Retreat Day in June and I delighted to be able to offer this Autumn Day Retreat.
Exploring the myth and symbolism of the Tree of Life, also known as the World Tree the day will comprise of a 2 hour vinyasa flow. As we move through creative sequencing the body awakens to the energy the flows unseen, like a river beneath the rivers. With enhanced awareness of the intimate connection between breath and mind we gain insight into the currents of this river that enable us to draw out the nourishment we need for wellbeing. Through asana and pranayama practice we will enervate, extend, strenthen and integrate body, mind and spirt and connect through the senses to the ancient woodland. Yogic philosophy and Hindu mythology aliven the imaginative realms enabling to expand and embrace the deeper symbolism which is even more relevant to our lives perhaps today than our ancestors who once lived in the forests. As you lie back in savasana, gazing up into the canopy of the trees, listening to the surround sound of birdsong it becomes impossible not to feel at ease and a part of nature.
A delicious lunch is included and will be served in the fairytale setting of the roundhouse - around a cosy fire. There will also be a unique and for now, secret extra offering on the day for you to enjoy!
In the afternoon our Yin yoga practice will summon us inwards to witness the magical network of sensations inhabiting the deeper layers of our tissues. We unfold and release into deeper connection and understanding, tuning into the energetic shifts, so subtle they usually go unnoticed.
