Pranayama is a means to direct our vital force of prana using specific breathing techniques. Applying the knowledge of ancient wisdom we can harness the flow of breath and it's retention to effect positive changes in both body and mind.

About The Event
Join me for an hour of breathing. In this online class we will explore the power of simple breathing techniques known as pranayama. To breathe is to 'shape shift'. When we breathe consciously we use the physical act of breathing to affect changes in the way our internal energies, thoughts & emotions arrange themselves and influence our experience of life - how we interpret events and our reactions.
Breathing is the only physiological system that we can easily take control of and use to change our autonomic nervous system. Awareness of the breath allows us to deliberately create changes so we can calm mind and body, reduce stress and create balance all of which have a powerful influence over our physical and mental health.
The techniques are simple. You do not need to have a yoga or meditation practice to learn and benefit from these techniques. We will explore these practices together in these one hour sessions after which you will be encouraged to practice them regularly, just 5 minutes a day can ingnite change.
Join me for just 1 or all 4 of these classes during May, no experience or special equipment is necessary, just access to the zoom, a quiet space with enough room to lie down and perhaps a cushion or chair to sit on and maybe a wall for support.
